Let’s Beat Breast Cancer Rally – Waukegan, IL

Downtown Waukegan on Genesee Street
College of Lake County Bookstore
33 N. Genesee Street, Waukegan, IL 60085

Breast cancer is the second leading cause of death among women in the United States, following heart disease. Each year, approximately 42,000 women and 500 men in the U.S. lose their lives to this disease, according to the CDC. Early detection through screening is crucial for improving outcomes.

We want our voices to be heard, so join us on Saturday, October 18th from 5–6 PM as we “Beat the Drum” for breast cancer prevention in downtown Waukegan! The Let’s Beat Breast Cancer Campaign is a global movement promoting a powerful, four-pronged approach to breast cancer prevention.

This one-hour rally is a vibrant call to action—featuring a community drum circle with Rhythm in the Round Community Drum Circle, inspiring speakers, and a strong sense of community connection. Pick up a percussion instrument, join the rhythm, enjoy the music, and raise your voice to support this life-saving message.
