Please join PBNM Certified Cooking Coach, experienced cook, and former educator, Kay Gerry, for a small group Plant-based Cooking Class on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 from 6 to 8 pm in her south-suburban Yorkville home. Class size is limited to 5 participants to enhance plenty of opportunity for hands-on experience as well as question and discussion of the Whole Food Plant-based way of eating and lifestyle. Kay and her husband, Jim, have been on this way of eating’s journey since 2012. Kay has gathered many recipes and greatly enjoys sharing her knowledge-base in a low-key atmosphere in her home. Participants will go home with samples of the food they prepare in addition to recipes and resources. Please bring take-home containers for these food samples.

The menu for this evening of shared cooking includes:
“Seminar Soup” = an Ann and Jane Esselstyn recipe that pleases everyone since this delicious concoction provides a hearty taste combined with a good array of colorful ingredients. Leftovers freeze quite well.
“Black Bean, Quinoa, and Mushroom Stuffed Bell Peppers” = a long-time family favorite with a marvelous flavor that is not labor-intensive. Kay has cooked this recipe while traveling and staying at various AirBnbs! Omnivores enjoy this recipe also!

“Heather McDougall’s Vegan Chocolate Pudding” = Dr. McDougall’s daughter, Heather, scores big-time with this yummy chocolate treat. We will make use of seasonal berries to elevate this recipe into elegant parfaits!
